Michell Perkovic - Clinical Applications Specialist, Philips.

Michelle Perkovic, Clinical Applications Specialist, Philips,  will be presenting from Australia via zoom on breast elastography.
The field of breast elastography has seen significant and exciting technological and diagnostic advances in recent years.  Michelle will explore both the more traditional strain elastography and the newer quantitative shear wave elastography (elastQ). As well as giving a brief introduction to how  these technologies work, she will explore how the two modalities complement traditional breast ultrasound imaging, and how this more definitive information on tissue stiffness in and around lesions can improve diagnostic confidence and guide further clinical decisions.
In addition to Michelle's talk, Philips will be providing a hands-on breast elastography workshop on site. This workshop will demonstrate how easily these techniques can be added to current  ultrasound practice.  The workshop will run concurrently to the study day, facilitated by Fran Lowry, Clinical Applications Specialist, Philips.   Onsite delegates can book into one of the five workshops during the morning registration.
