We have exciting opportunities for Radiation Therapists (RT) to join the team at the Wellington Blood and Cancer Centre at Wellington Hospital. We have both permanent and fixed term positions of variable hours available.

The successful applicants will have a patient-focused approach to care, be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment and have excellent communication skills.

These roles include rostered duties in all areas of our well-equipped radiation therapy facility plus shift work and on-call rosters. The radiation oncology team is vibrant, dynamic and dedicated to the provision of an efficient, high quality patient focused treatment service that includes a diverse range of advanced techniques.

Our service is located in the newly built Wellington Hospital, and has a complement of modern equipment including three linacs with IGRT/VMAT/FFF/Gating and Stereotactic options, CT, networked and integrated single vendor based treatment planning, patient management and treatment system. Superficial x-ray, HDR Brachytherapy and access to MR and PET imaging are also available.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Registered or eligible for registration with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologists Board

* Current NZ work visa
