Location: Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals

Contract: Rostered and rotating shifts. 80 hours per fortnight

Salary: $56,715-$84,855

About the role 

Radiology services are provided over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week. MIT positions available include a permanent full-time position and a fixed term (maternity leave) position.  There will be opportunities to train in modalities; CT, Mammography, Interventional. There is also the potential for training in PACS/RIS admin.

We are a supportive, collegial team providing high-quality imaging in a large tertiary hospital. Comprehensive orientation to our department and organisation will be provided to you on the commencement of your employment.

Duties 

  • Delivering patient focussed care
  • Producing high-quality diagnostic imaging
  • ED, Inpatient and Outpatient General Imaging, Theatre and Fluoroscopy
  • Participating on rotating roster including nightshifts, weekends and on-call
  • Participate in onsite training of student Medical Imaging Technologists

Skills and Experience 

  • Registration with MRTB and current APC
  • A high level of oral and written communication is essential
  • Suitable for all levels of experience
  • High technical standards
  • Patient-centered care.
