We are recruiting for two permanent Radiologists working between 48 (0.6FTE) and 80 (1.0FTE) hours a fortnight. You will be based at Nelson hospital however these are district wide positions that may require rare travel to Wairau hospital also. You will be working across all areas of the radiology service including: the provision of general radiology, ultrasound, CT, and MRI with angiography and interventional radiology - if appropriate.

The Radiologist team consists of seven part and full-time specialist staff who are well supported by a professional team of medical imaging technologists, sonographers, registered nurses, radiography assistants and dedicated administration staff working in modern facilities. Nelson is an acute secondary care hospital. There is no on call or weekend requirement as part of this role.

You will require vocational registration as a Specialist Radiologist within New Zealand, or eligibility for this. You will need to be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, or hold an equivalent qualification. Postgraduate fellowship training is desirable. We are looking for a specialist who is ready to bring their skills and experience to a smaller provincial hospital and enjoy the lifestyle that this affords.

Salary for these positions will be the range of $161,304 – $240,000 (as per the current senior medical and dental officer collective agreement) dependent on skills, experience and gaining full vocational registration in NZ. You will also have access to up-to 10 days and a $16,000 allowance to put towards your continued medical education.
