Southland Hospital, one of the two major hospitals operated by the Southern DHB, now has an opening for a New Zealand Registered Medical Imaging Technologist to join our hard working, vibrant team in the Radiology Department based in Invercargill.
Based in general x-ray you will have a varied workload including fluoroscopy, emergency and theatre, with excellent opportunity for modality training. Your focus will always be on providing quality patient care, with a friendly and professional approach to patients, as well as being an effective team member.
Southland Hospital provides a modern work environment and you will work mostly in a team setting with the challenge of working solo out of hours. You'll need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a great team member with the ability to work unsupervised to cover the shift roster that ensures the consistent service to patients 24 hours, seven days per week roster.
Invercargill? It is in the south of New Zealand's South Island, surrounded by national parks. We have an abundance of amenities, educational (primary through tertiary) facilities, fresh air to share and a sense of community many lament having lost. Up the road we have Queenstown and Central Otago - summer and winter playgrounds whatever your passion.
This role requires you to hold registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board with a current APC.
