Situated in the picturesque Auckland region, both Waitakere and the North Shore provide a unique lifestyle that comes with living in a vibrant and diverse urban centre, with beaches and open spaces just around every corner.
We have a variety of opportunities for qualified Sonographers to join our Radiology team, based at Waitakere Hospital (271 Beds) and North Shore Hospital (631 Beds). Waitemata District Health Board serves an ever growing catchment population of over 500,000 people, throughout the communities in the western and northern regions of Auckland.
One of the attractions is the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic, imaging team. With the opportunity of full-time and part-time work, these busy ultrasound departments will offer you work that will be varied and interesting. You would be primarily based at North Shore Hospital however would occasionally be asked to work at Waitakere Hospital.
The work is varied including General, Obstetrics, Paediatric, Vascular and some Musculoskeletal examinations.
As these are training hospitals you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and experience and further develop your career whilst making a valued contribution to the teaching of others.
We are seeking Sonographers with a passion for teaching, learning and working in a team environment. General, Obstetric and Small part Ultrasound experience is essential. Vascular, Musculoskeletal and Paediatric experience is desired.
You will require qualifications that are recognised by the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
